Microsoft’s Copilot is actually exclusive to Windows 11 and we know that Windows 10 will no longer receive any new features. However, it seems that Windows 10 users can take the opportunity to try the AI assistant.

Microsoft’s Copilot will not be integrated into the operating system as it was in Windows 11, but it can be tried by those who use Edge on Windows 10.

Windows Latest took the opportunity to try “Copilot for Edge” and says it’s basically the same as Copilot in Windows 11, making it easy to change various settings, but taking place in the browser environment rather than the operating system. As the tech site points out, the feature, which is still in its early stages, has limited capabilities as you can imagine. However, for Edge, for example, you can open virtual tabs or dark mode by commanding Copilot.

As Copilot will be pinned to the existing Bing AI sidebar in Edge, it basically makes this part of the interface a region of additional functionality. Copilot for Edge is currently rolling out to select users testing the browser. The feature is said to be released gradually.

Prominent Edge tester and leakster Leopeva64 (on Twitter) is also following developments with this functionality and says it works with voice input for Edge so that those with a microphone can talk to Copilot and give it direct instructions.
