Notepad, one of the most iconic default applications of the Windows operating system, has had the same design for years. However, with Windows 11, there were a few minor changes to it, as it does to every application.

It looks like Microsoft is planning to bring the tab feature it brought to File Explorer to Notepad as well. However, the way we learned about it was not very pleasant because a Microsoft employee shared it by leaking it.

Shared screenshot of Notepad says ‘Hidden – Do not discuss features or take screenshots’

Our Microsoft employee brother was very confident because as you can see in the screenshot, a red stripe in the app clearly says ‘Hidden – Don’t talk about features or take screenshots’.

As for the feature: The tabs feature in Notepad will work just like File Explorer. You will be able to tabulate and edit multiple notebook files in one Notepad window.

The feature, which is currently in the trial phase (which is why it was not wanted to be shared), we do not know when it will come to Windows 11 because there is no such information in the screenshot. What are you thinking? Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
