Microsoft’s new generation operating system Windows 11, which will be officially introduced with the launch event to be held on June 24, was officially revealed with the leak of the ISO file. After the ISO file spread online, many people were eager to install Windows 11 on their computers or virtual machines, while some ‘computer worms’ were in search of different things.
A day after the Windows 11 ISO file was leaked, an Italian twitter account Aggiornamenti Lumia tweeted, “One day has passed since the (Windows 11 ISO) Leak and I still haven’t seen a Lumia 950XL with Windows 11”; Another Twitter account named Gustave Monce shared a photo of him installing Windows 11 on a Lumia 950XL, saying, “If you ask, this (photo) is from yesterday.”
As we only have one photo, we have no information on how Windows 11 functions on a smartphone. However, although Windows 11 is being touted as the “next generation Windows”, it is obvious that it looks like “updated Windows 10”, at least visually. Therefore, it is obvious that the Lumia 950XL, one of the last phones released with Windows 10 Mobile, will not offer a brand new experience.
Another Twitter user named Yuu, in his response to Monce’s tweet, said, “Windows 11 ARM version has not been leaked yet. I think this photo belongs to customized Windows 10,” and in a way ‘denied’ Monce. Regardless, we can say that when Microsoft officially announces Windows 11 next week, the ARM version will also appear and we can see more Windows 11-installed smartphones.
