The biggest purchase in the gaming world took place last month. Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard, which we know for its games such as Call of Duty and World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft aside, Call of Duty is hugely important to players of all platforms. The series may have lost a bit of itself lately, but it’s an important game for all of us.

As you know, Microsoft’s reason for making this move is to support Xbox more. As such, the possibility of a situation such as Call of Duty not coming to PlayStation began to be questioned. Earlier this question was already answered, but this time it was literally put to the end.

Call of Duty games will continue to be released on PlayStation

Shortly after the purchase between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, a statement came from the Xbox front. In this statement made by Xbox CEO Phil Spencer, it was said that CoD games will continue to be on PlayStation. Since the purchase has not been completed yet, we did not know exactly what will happen between Xbox and CoD in the future, but at least we learned about it.

Phil Spencer’s statement today received approval from the top of the company. With the statement from Microsoft, the agreements between Sony and Activision Blizzard will continue as in the past. This shows that CoD games will continue to be released on PlayStation.

Here is the full statement from the company:

“To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard games available on PlayStation for the duration of any existing agreement with Activision. . And we’ve made a commitment to Sony that we’ll make them available beyond the current deal and on PlayStation in the future so Sony fans can continue to enjoy the games they love. We are also interested in taking similar steps to support Nintendo’s successful platform. We believe this is true for the industry, the players and our business.”

We wonder how future Call of Duty games will offer Xbox users. The acquisition will be completed next year and that’s when the real action will begin.
