At CES 2023 consumer electronics fair, Asus ROG Rapture GT-BE98, the world’s first quad-band WiFi 7 gaming router, and ASUS RT-BE96U, a tri-band WiFi 7 router suitable for both home and corporate use, were introduced. Both routers are only available on WiFi 7; Extended 320 MHz channels in the 6 GHz band include technologies such as 4K QAM modulation, Multi-Link Operation and Multi-RU Puncturing.

ASUS also introduced three new ExpertWiFi devices for enterprise use. These models consisting of EBM68 network system, EBR63 router and EBA63 access point will be followed by new models in the second half of 2023.

In addition to supporting the largest number of SSIDs in the industry, these devices also support self-defined networks, up to 12 network nodes and enterprise-class network security. Each device can be easily controlled via the free ASUS Router app.

Developed for spaces with thick brick or concrete walls, the ZenWiFi Hybrid CX5 is the world’s first multi-media over coaxial (MoCA) network router. Offering four different ways for hybrid background connections, this model also supports up to 2.5 Gbps for wired background connection.

Asus ROG Rapture GT-BE98 specifications

In addition to a new set of networking features, the ROG Rapture GT-BE98 model offers bandwidth up to 25,000 Mbps and ASUS RT-BE96U model offers up to 19,000 Mbps for unmatched gaming. Both models provide a first-class experience to the pioneers of the future with the latest technologies.

The 6 Ghz channels offered by both routers deliver speeds of up to 11.525 Mbps, delivering breakthrough performance for online gaming, streaming, downloading and more.

GT-BE98 also has an eye-catching aesthetic appearance. With a partially transparent top, users can see some of the advanced circuits and heatsinks that make the product powerful. At the same time, the ambitious graphic design reflects the spirit of ROG and some key features.

Both router models have powerful quad-core 2.6 Ghz processors. The three 10 Gbps LAN ports on the GT-BE98 handle even the heaviest network traffic. The RT-BE96U also has one 10 Gbps LAN/WAN port and one 10 Gbps LAN port.

In addition, users benefit from wide signal range and coverage with ASUS-exclusive RangeBoost Plus technology. Three-layer game acceleration feature in GT-BE98 improves connections from local network to game server anywhere in the world.

Brand new ExpertWiFi router series

The ExpertWiFi series, which has a minimalist and professional aesthetic appearance, has a white exterior design that adapts to corporate environments. These devices can be mounted on the wall or ceiling or stand on their own, depending on the users’ preference.

Thanks to the self-defined networking feature, each of the Ethernet ports on these ExpertWiFi devices can be assigned to VLANs for different corporate use purposes. Corporate users can choose from different types of guest portals.

For example, it is possible to make different choices for social media sessions and public WiFi connections. These new ExpertWiFi devices all support custom logos, brand placement and visual templates to match users’ corporate style and interact with customers in different ways.

From small businesses to large factories, ExpertWiFi networking products can keep up with customers’ needs. EBM68, EBA63 and EBR63 can also support up to 12 node connections. Thus, businesses can expand their networks using AiMesh compatible devices. Other routers and network systems usually support up to 9 network nodes.

In addition, these models in the ExpertWiFi series also offer backup WAN access when internet service is not available or interrupted. In such a case, administrators can connect one of the ExpertWiFi devices to their Android phone or iPhone with a USB cable and use that phone as a mobile hotspot for the entire local network.

Models in the series also offer enterprise-class network security with a free subscription to ASUS AiProtection Pro and Safe Browsing. WiFi network setup and management is easily handled from the multi-functional ASUS Router mobile app.

The world’s first MoCA network system

Where thick interior walls affect the signal strength of the local network, devices such as the ASUS ZenWiFi hybrid XC5 come into play. This product, which is the world’s first MoCA network system, uses physical and wireless connections together, and carries the network speed to 5500 Mbps (2500 Mbps over MoCA, 2402 Mbps on 5 Ghz channel and 574 Mbps on 2.4 Ghz channel) with 160 Mhz wireless connection channels.

Users can set up such a network wherever there are coaxial cables available. The four-way hybrid backend connection is also done with MoCA over two WiFi bands and Ethernet. Wired background connections can go up to 2500 Mbps with MoCA connection. All connections to this device benefit from ASUS-exclusive features such as AiMesh, AiProtection, Instant Guard, and Security Navigation.
