Another scientist who explains how evolution has helped shape the appearance of the human penis is biologist Darren Curnoe.
Curnoe believes the size of the penis can also be partially explained by our upright posture. Walking on two legs exposes the penis, which attracts females. In a way, penises were “advertised”, as most ex-African men of the past went around naked.
Some cultures even had rituals and ceremonies where men would come together and display their penises for the women to choose. Potential spouse candidates also determined “sexual selection” with their preferences.
According to another theory, water scarcity in Africa may have affected this situation.
