In recent weeks, the Lapsus$ hacking group has come to the fore by stealing company data from Nvidia, Samsung, Ubisoft, Okta and even Microsoft. According to Bloomberg’s report, the person who manages all these hacking operations is a 16-year-old teenager living in England.

“Four researchers investigating the hacking group Lapsus$ on behalf of the attacked companies identified a teenager who is thought to be the brainchild of the group,” says Bloomberg. However, the teen, who has been using the online aliases “White” and “Breachbase”, has yet to be charged legally, and it doesn’t appear to be able to clearly connect Lapsus$’s every hacking operation yet.

City of London Police, meanwhile, has arrested seven teenagers suspected of being involved in the Lapsus$ hack group. However, it is thought that there is no 16-year-old “leader” among these young people.

Lapsus$ is apparently not only made up of UK-based youth. Bloomberg reports that a suspected member is another teenager in Brazil, with seven unique accounts linked to the group. It seems that one of the members is very talented and can program automatic execution of hacking operations.
