The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy plans to publish a report on cryptocurrency mining and its environmental impact in August.

According to Bloomberg’s report, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) will release a cryptocurrency mining report following the executive order of US President Joe Biden.

OSTP investigates complaints about electricity shortages in states like Texas, noise pollution, and many more issues related to crypto mining, including different topics.

Costa Samaras from OSTP’s energy division told Bloomberg Law.

“If this is to be meaningfully part of our financial system, it is important that it develops responsibly and minimizes overall emissions.

We’ve seen miners set up where electricity prices are low and secure favorable industrial rates”

Biden’s executive order tells OSTP to team up with other offices and basically ensure that blockchain technologies improve the environment. tasked with preparing a report examining how Plans are for the report to be published next August.
