Everyone knows that smartphones lose value over time, but some lose their value faster than others. The Galaxy S22 series also seems to fall into this category. A new report highlights that the Galaxy S22 series is losing its value almost three times faster than the iPhone 13.
This is not surprising, however. It is already known that iPhones retain their value longer. While Samsung makes some of the best Android phones on the market, they can do a better job of keeping their value longer, but they just don’t.
SellCell has tracked the tradeoffs of the Galaxy S22, iPhone and Google Pixel 6 for months. It was found that the device that lost the most value was the Galaxy S22 with 51.1 percent. By comparison, the iPhone 13 seems to have lost 16.4 percent and the Pixel 6 43.5 percent.
In short, Apple’s iPhones are way ahead of their competitors in maintaining their value. If you want to sell the iPhone 13 and switch to the new model when the iPhone 14 comes out, it is possible to earn a significant amount of money from the phone you have. But unfortunately the same doesn’t seem to apply to Samsung’s Galaxy S22.
