When will Android 14 come to Samsung phones?
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out exactly when these devices will receive Android 14 updates. The completed OS update will likely be rolled out to Google Pixel devices first, probably in August or September. But if we look at past examples, Samsung phones will likely need an additional two or three months to receive the update.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will likely be the first phones in line, and it can be predicted that they will receive the update in October or November. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5; It can receive the update at the same time as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4.
Next, the Android 14 update list is likely to prioritize newer and more prominent devices, while other models will gradually receive the update.
With the update that Samsung users will receive, Android 14 on Pixel phones will not be exactly the same. Samsung’s update will of course be presented with Samsung One UI 6.0, which will include its own enhancements.
It is not yet known for certain which improvements will be included in the Samsung version, but Android 14 highlights include the ability to better customize your lock screen, changes to external app installation to make the device more secure, and full support for home keys. There is also the possibility to set different live wallpapers for the homepage and lock screens, and many other improvements. It may also be possible for Samsung to consider this update as an opportunity to change the look of One UI.
