Qualcomm introduced its new generation mobile processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. With the new generation mobile platform, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is claimed to show high-level performance in many points, has gradually started to become clear on which phones.
Below, we share the smartphones that have been confirmed to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor so far:
Xiaomi 12
The first phone to be confirmed to have the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset was the Xiaomi 12. The Xiaomi 12, which the Xiaomi CEO has announced will be available soon, is expected to be launched in China in the next few weeks. At the beginning of 2022, it will be on sale in other countries and possibly in our country.
OnePlus 10
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed on Chinese social website Weibo that the company’s next flagship smartphone will be using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Lau did not name the phone, but we can assume that the first OnePlus model to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be the OnePlus 10 series.
OPPO Find X4
While OPPO has yet to confirm the name of its next flagship as Find X4, we know that OPPO’s high-end phone for 2022 will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
We expect OPPO to introduce its next flagship phone before the end of March 2022. Because Find X3 was also introduced in March 2021. Therefore, it makes sense to introduce Find X4 after 1 year.
realme GT2 Pro
The most talked about topic about realme right now is realme GT2 Pro. While phone-related leaks continue, realme GT2 Pro has also been confirmed to be one of the first phones to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. According to the company’s official twitter account, realme GT2 Pro will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

A New Motorola Edge
We do not know the name of this phone yet, but a news that emerged during the introduction of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is that the company will launch a new Motorola Edge model. “In just a few days, you’ll be introducing one of the first phones to launch on the new Snapdragon 8 platform in China,” said Ruben Castano, Motorola’s Head of Customer Experience, with December 9 as the launch date.
On the other hand, there are also leaks and rumors that a new Motorola Edge X30 smartphone may be introduced in China in the coming weeks. This could be the phone Castano was talking about. We’ll wait and see.
