Protection goes up to almost 100% with BioNTech
Allergy Immunology and Chest Diseases Specialist Prof. Dr. Ali Kutlu shared on Twitter which vaccine would make more sense to have 2 doses of Sinovac. Stating that there is not much data on this subject, Kutlu presented a table prepared according to the data obtained in Chile to people who have question marks on this subject. According to the data, getting the Sinovac vaccine again after 2 doses of Sinovac increases the antibody rate from 54% to 74%, while the 3rd dose of BioNTech vaccine increases this rate to 95%.
Whether it will be the 3rd and maybe even the 4th dose, or even more than this, is one of the most curious topics in the pandemic field at the moment. As we mentioned at the beginning, the long-term protection of a vaccine also depends on the updates it will receive after its release. One of the founding partners of BioNTech, Prof. Dr. Uğur Şahin had previously announced that the formula of the vaccine would change. It is a mystery when there will be a time when this dose of talk will no longer be needed.
