With the increase in exchange rates, it has become very difficult to get a phone. While this is the case, most people are turning to second-hand phones. In this sense, the second-hand market has become just as important for those who want to dispose of their phones and those who want to buy phones.
iPhone 14 retains its second hand value better
As everyone knows, iPhone models maintain their second-hand value significantly. On the other hand, Android phones are not as successful as Apple. A second-hand phone survey conducted by SellCell abroad also confirms this situation.
The report prepared by SellCell includes iPhone 14, Samsung S23 and Google Pixel 7 models. The most successful in the research is the iPhone, as expected. The Samsung S23, on the other hand, is slightly better than the Google Pixel 7 model.
While iPhone 14 models in ‘like new’ condition depreciated by 32.3 percent at the end of the first month, the value loss for the Samsung S23 in the same condition is 41.1 percent. Pixel 7 models, on the other hand, lost 43.1 percent in value in the same period.
For models in like-new condition, we see the difference increase more dramatically in the second month. While the depreciation of iPhone 14 models decreased to 31% at the end of 2 months, the depreciation of Samsung and Google was 43.3 percent and 45.9 percent, respectively.
While the situation does not change in second-hand phones in ‘good’ condition, the decrease in value loss at the end of the second month in iPhone models is quite remarkable. Another remarkable point was that the value of Goog Pixel 7 models fell by more than 50 percent.
We know that the loss of value of phones in our country is not at this level, but still, the research by SellCell reveals the situation in second-hand phones. So what do you think about this? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
