Windows 11, which was unexpectedly announced in the middle of 2021, was released on October 5, 2021. While the operating system is installed on millions of systems today, Microsoft did not release a giant update for Windows 11, as well as minor updates. Here is the news from that update today.

Microsoft Windows Chief Product Officer Panos Panay talked about the expected big Windows 11 update in his blog post today. Giving information about this big update that will enable Android applications to run directly on Windows, Panay announced that the update work was going faster than planned.

The first preview will be released next month

Panay, in the statement he shared, said that the new Windows 11 update has entered the final stage. He also pointed out that this means that the update, which is normally scheduled for release in mid-2022, could be released earlier. It also announced that the first preview of that update for Windows Insider users will be released next month.

According to the details shared by Panay, with this preview version, Windows Insider users will be able to see how Android applications can be used through the Microsoft Store. In addition to support for Android apps, the update will bring taskbar improvements, easier screen sharing, placing the weather on the taskbar, and a revamped Notepad and Media Player.
