It has been revealed that the popular messaging app WhatsApp will no longer work on some iPhone models as of October 24. According to the information conveyed by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will no longer work on iPhone models running iOS operating system before iOS 12.

In the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, WhastApp is iOS from October 24, 2022 It appears to be preparing to not offer support for devices running iOS 10 and iOS 11. In addition, the phrase “iPhone running iOS 12 and newer” in WhatsApp’s help documents also confirms WABetaInfo’s claims.
All this means iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c users will no longer be able to use WhatsApp from the fall. iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S users must update their devices to iOS 12 as of October in order to use WhatsApp.
