WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform owned by Meta, is trying to find new ways people can use to respond to media they receive in conversations. WABetaInfo reports that the latest beta version 2.23.20.20 of WhatsApp for Android has a new reply bar.

The feature is currently available to some beta testers and allows users to quickly respond to images, videos, and GIFs in the messaging app. Currently, users running the stable version of WhatsApp can respond to texts and media by swiping right on messages.

According to the screenshot shared by the website, when you open an image, video or GIF in a WhatsApp conversation, a response bar appears at the bottom of the screen. Thanks to this response bar, you do not need to return to the chat screen to write your response.

WABetaInfo states that the reply bar is compatible with WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.20.20. However, this feature can also be used by some users running the previous 2.23.20.18 beta update.

On the iOS side, WhatsApp for iOS 23.20.1.70 beta is also available. This beta update brings AI stickers to some beta testers, allowing iOS users to create and share new stickers using Meta’s AI. However, we cannot say that this feature is new as it was introduced to test users in the WhatsApp beta version for Android last month.

To try AI stickers, you can enter any conversation in the WhatsApp app and open the sticker interface. If your account has this feature, you will see the “Create” button. You can then send the text prompt you want to the AI and see a series of stickers generated based on the prompt you sent.
