Popular messaging application WhatsApp was developing a new feature called locked chats, and according to leaks, with this feature you could only access your locked chats with your device’s password or biometric information such as fingerprint. With the WhatsApp 2.23.21.8 update for Android, a secret code feature for locked chats that WhatsApp was developing was revealed. However, new information about the feature, the details of which are unknown, emerged thanks to the WhatsApp beta 2.23.21.9 update.
As you can see in the screenshot above, WhatsApp is working on a new page that will allow users to create a secret code for their protected chat folders. As mentioned in the secret code generation form, WhatsApp recommends using a word or a simple emoji for quick access, and entering a secret code on this page, available in the future, could allow users to easily find locked chats even in the app’s search bar.
