WhatsApp is developing a feature that will only show your online information to people you choose

The popular messaging app WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is developing a feature that most users complain about. In the past, when you turned off your online status, no one could see whether you were online or not. However, with the new feature that WhatsApp is working on, only the people you choose will now be able to see your online status.

You will be able to choose who can see your online information from the last seen settings in WhatsApp

WhatsApp is developing a feature that will allow users to choose who can see who they are online on WhatsApp and will be available in a future update. As you can see in the screenshot above, with two new options, “Everyone” and “Same as Last Seen”, you will be able to configure who can see when you’re online from the last seen settings.

Although the screenshot is taken from the WhatsApp Beta for iOS, this feature will come to the Beta for Android soon. It is estimated that this feature, which is in the testing phase, will be available to all users with the update to be released soon.
