WhatsApp recently introduced three new Meta-powered AI services. Starting today, some users will begin testing these features in chats with friends and family:
- AI stickers: You can now create a custom sticker that represents a thought or idea that will fit perfectly into your conversation.
- Artificial intelligence chats: Thanks to Meta’s artificial intelligence, you can ask questions to learn more about the topic you want or to put an end to a discussion in your group chat, and even get interesting answers from dozens of characters created by Meta and learn the different perspectives of each.
- Photorealistic Image Generation: AIs allow you to create images that represent an idea, place, or person by typing the /imagine prompt.
These artificial intelligence features are linked to the “Meta AI” functions announced by Meta. These features are also coming to Instagram and Facebook Messenger. The company uses the Llama 2 language model and other artificial intelligence tools to create these features. In addition to the artificial intelligence tool that can chat with you, situation-based chats can also be provided with 28 artificial intelligence personalities. Some of these 28 personalities are quite famous: Dwyane Wade, Kendall Jenner, MrBeast, Snoop Dogg, Paris Hilton and more. For example, Dwyane Wade as Ironman triathlete Victor will be an AI personality who will motivate you to be your best self.In the statement made by WhatsApp, it is emphasized that “personal messages between you and your friends and family are completely private to you.” Artificial intelligence will be able to read the messages sent to them, but your personal messages will remain secure as they are end-to-end encrypted. WhatsApp also wants to help businesses improve the quality and speed of the services they provide to people through the AI of their choice.
