WhatsApp’s voice messaging feature will soon receive some minor updates to help create, send and listen to useful voice messages.
Meta’s app is the main source of communication for over two billion people every month. It’s free, highly accessible, and end-to-end encrypted, making it an essential app for users around the world to connect with family and friends. The new updates aim to help prevent miscommunication in voicemails and improve the already pretty good voicemail feature. For example, sending a wrong voice message will become impossible with the new features. The playback speed of the message can be increased or decreased.
WhatsApp did not provide a release date in its announcement or information about which platforms it will arrive and in what order. However, we can expect the features to become available in the next few weeks.
