The ability to delete a message is not new. However, with this latest decision, WhatsApp significantly extends the time frame. Deleting a message is also pretty easy. Open the WhatsApp group or individual chat the message was sent to, tap and hold the content to be deleted and press “Delete”. Users are presented with the “Delete for everyone” or “Delete for me” options.
To date, WhatsApp users have had the above-mentioned options only an hour after pressing the send button. However, in the future, users will have more than 2 days to delete messages.
Meanwhile, both parties need to have the latest version of WhatsApp for the deletion to work.
