There has been a remarkable development regarding WhatsApp, the world’s most popular instant messaging application. The latest beta versions of the application for Android and iOS ecosystem came with a brand new feature that some users can experience. This new feature seems to please users who form large groups the most.
WhatsApp has allowed the creation of groups of 256 people over the years. However, this person limit was not enough after a while, and the developers, aware of this, released an update a few months ago and allowed the creation of groups of 512 people. Recent beta versions have increased the person limit to 1,024.
Larger groups can now be created on WhatsApp!
The change in the latest beta versions of WhatsApp is the kind that will benefit those who need large groups. Because when the feature is available to everyone, much larger groups of 1,024 people will be created. By the way; Let us remind you that WhatsApp’s biggest competitor, Telegram, allows creating groups of up to 200 thousand people. WhatApp is still far behind Telegram in contact limit.
WhatsApp has not made any statements regarding the group limitation. As such, we do not know when the new user limit will become public. However, this process is not expected to take long. Most likely, a few stable version updates will allow adding 1,024 people to groups on WhatsApp.
