Some tweets were posted on Twitter today about some iPhone users having issues with the WhatsApp app. Those who encountered this error saw that the related program crashed after touching the icon on the iPhone home screen. Some users attributed the cause of this error to the iOS 15. 2 update.
WhatsApp has not yet made an official statement about the application crashing on iPhone devices. The bug currently affects both the regular version of WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business.
WhatsApp started crashing on many iPhone users
As we can see in the tweet below, WhatsApp crashes on the messages screen right after the Touch ID warning. The app then takes you back to the iPhone’s home screen. Many iPhone users have stated this on their Twitter accounts.

Larger video files and the ability to send messages, support for large group chats, read receipts and more have made WhatsApp the most popular messaging app in over 100 countries. The app has been installed more than 5 billion times.
While Facebook does not disclose financial data according to individual apps, experts think WhatsApp brought in between 5 billion and 10 billion in revenue for the company last year. In addition, the application is among the information claimed to have 2.3 billion daily users. As of last July, the number of monthly active users on WhatsApp was calculated as 2 billion.
