The popular messaging platform WhatsApp is coming up with new features every day. The platform provides this with the features it brings when it comes to privacy. Finally, WhatsApp brings the online hide feature that users have been waiting for years.
WhatsApp brings its online feature
After WhatsApp introduced the last seen mute feature, users were waiting for a new feature that would hide their online presence. After a long wait, the company seems to have heeded the requests.
Mark Zuckerberg’s team rolled out three new privacy-focused updates to WhatsApp last month. Silent group exit, screenshot blocking on temporary messages and online hiding. Some users have already started getting these latest features. WaBeatInfo reports that WhatsApp for Android beta versions 2.22.20.07 and 2.22.20.9 will eventually provide you with the ability to hide online.
In general, if a new feature is made available for the first time in the WhatsApp Beta program, there is a possibility that it will not be included in the stable release. However, as Meta has made the official announcement, phones will eventually receive this update. The screenshot shared by WaBetaInfo also proves this.
According to the screenshot, the options will remain the same as in the last seen section. In other words, there are ‘Everyone’, ‘My Contacts’, ‘My contacts except’, ‘Nobody’ options. However, there will be a new title ‘Who can see when I’m online’. Under this heading, you can also choose from ‘Everyone’ and ‘Same as last seen’. We will have to wait a little longer to have this feature.
