WhatsApp, the world’s most popular instant messaging application, recently introduced its new feature called “Channels” to all users globally. This feature was a new way of communication that allowed users to share announcements and news. Users could only react with emojis on the channel they joined. Of course, WhatsApp’s work on this feature was continuing. In a news article we shared with you recently, we mentioned that we are working on a new feature that allows comments to be left on messages in Channels.

Now, there has been a new development on the subject. WhatsApp made a new statement about Channels. According to this statement, the feature can now be used more broadly. Now all users, not just WhatsApp Business users, will be able to create a private channel for themselves.

This is what WhatsApp’s new feature will look like:

All a user who wants to create a channel on WhatsApp needs to do is enter the Channels section on the “Updates” page and tap the “+” button. The user who taps on the “Create channel” option will first encounter a warning, then provide information about his channel and complete the process with the “Create channel” button.

After creating the channel, you will be able to make some settings and easily find and share the channel link. Users will be able to connect to the channel by searching for the channel name or via the link. Meanwhile; We should point out that the channels created are currently only in “public” status. So there will be no possibility of hiding a channel you have created, meeting people only through the link. This situation may change in the future.
