Although we say that Instagram is ‘scratching features from here and there’, it is still the clear leader of social media. Although it is ‘inspired’ in terms of features, it perfects these features and presents them to the user in a masterful way.

Instagram’s big brother Facebook is unfortunately not in the same situation and continues to lose users over the years. That’s why parent company Meta has announced plans to bring a few features of Instagram Reels to Facebook as well.

Meta invests heavily in the Reels feature

Meta will add an “Add Yours” sticker for the Reels section available on both social networks. The sticker allows users to respond to other users’ Reels by following a specific topic. Users who click on the ‘Add Yours’ button, which you can add when you share a Reels, will be able to share a Reels on the same topic, just like on Instagram.

Reels shared with this sticker will appear on a special separate page and who started this trend will appear at the top of the Reels. This feature can also be seen as a way for influencers in particular to discover more people to follow.

Another feature that Meta announced is the Stars system. With this feature, you will be able to support your favorite creators on Facebook Reels. In addition, you will now be able to transfer Reels between Instagram and Facebook more easily. Meta is also releasing a feature where you can automatically combine Reels from your previously shared Facebook Stories and share them as Facebook Reels. This feature, which was first published for Instagram Stories last fall, is now coming to the Reels section on both Instagram and Facebook.
