According to information from sources close to the company, Google is preparing to offer operating system and security updates to the Pixel 8 series for seven years. If the rumors are true, the devices will be supported up to Android 21.
Until now, the software support that Google has offered to its phones has been limited to a maximum of three years. In fact, Pixel 4a, which was recently introduced to users in August 2020, lost software support after three years. However, it seems that this will change soon and the company’s smartphones will run the latest software versions for a long time.
