Samsung was among the first Android smartphone manufacturers to launch 5G Android phones. 5G technology was first introduced with Samsung’s flagship smartphones. Over the last few years, Samsung has been making serious efforts to bring 5G to the masses.
There are now entry-level devices such as the Galaxy A13 5G, which are budget-friendly but still have 5G support. Focused on expanding 5G, these moves of Samsung have made it the undisputed leader among 5G Android smartphone manufacturers. The latest data from Counterpoint Research also shows this trend.
Data from the Counterpoint Research Sales Tracker shows that for February 2022, Samsung occupies the top five positions in the list of best-selling 5G Android smartphones. Galaxy A52s 5G stands out as the best selling 5G Android phone. It seems to be doing very well, especially in Western European markets.
It is followed by Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy A32 5G. Another Samsung device, the Galaxy A22 5G, also entered this list, but it is in the 10th place.
Positions in between are filled by phones from Chinese manufacturers such as Oppo, Xiaomi and Honor. However, when we look at the figures, it is seen that these manufacturers cannot compete with Samsung yet.
