The biggest cryptocurrency whales transferred over a billion dollars in BTC, ETH, XRP and MATIC as the market plummeted.
Bitcoin moved $849.1 million in just two days
According to data provided by Whale Alert, the largest transaction took place between two anonymous whales. This transfer carried 10,000 Bitcoins worth $269.4 million.
The other biggest Bitcoin transactions of recent days that got on Whale Alert’s radar included:
- An anonymous wallet transferred 2,028 BTC worth $53.41 million to crypto exchange Coinbase.
- An anonymous wallet transferred 999 BTC worth $26.38 million from Binance to an anonymous wallet.
- 867 BTC worth $22.89 million transferred from Binance to another anonymous wallet.
- In another transaction, 999 BTC worth $26.65 million flowed from the new Binance to another anonymous wallet.
- 5,500 BTC worth $146.79 million exchanged hands between anonymous wallets.
- In the last transaction, 9,714 BTC worth $262.07 million were transferred between the two anonymous wallets.
Polygon (MATIC)
The whale watching platform also states that a crypto whale is carrying a large amount of Polygon (MATIC). The pocket-pocket investor moved 30 million MATIC worth $24.94 million from Polygon Staking to an unknown wallet.
Ethereum (ETH)
Ethereum transactions on Whale Alert’s radar:
- An anonymous wallet transferred 22,860 ETH worth $40.46 million to Binance.
- 70,000 ETH transfers worth $123.91 million were made between anonymous wallets.
According to the whale watching platform, two major transactions took place on the smart contract platform Ethereum on May 11, totaling a total of $164.4 million. ETH price is currently trading at $1,794.33, down 5% weekly.
XRP
Whale Alert also shows that whales are focusing on XRP as well. A crypto whale moved 50,000,000 XRP, worth $20.95 million at the time, from Ripple to another anonymous wallet. In another transaction, 28,000,000 XRP worth $11.59 million exchanged hands between anonymous wallets.
