Instagram has now become a huge social media platform. The platform, which first appeared as an innocent photo album application, is now a completely different place with the features it has taken from Snapchat and TikTok. According to the latest information, a new one is added to the platforms that have stolen the feature.
Foursquare-like ‘posting’ feature coming to Instagram Notes
As we said, Instagram copied the stories from Snapchat, the reels feature from TikTok, and finally the Twitter platform rather than the feature, and made an application called Threads. Here it is with Threads, parent company Meta has added a new feature to Instagram.
Thanks to this feature, users can see developer announcements in the chat section of Instagram and follow new updates to the platform from there. They even get the messages directly from Instagram boss Adam Mosseri.
In a new announcement shared here, the new feature coming to Instagram was announced. You are all familiar with the Notes feature brought to the platform this year. In the notes section, you can share the song you are listening to, and write what you think as a bubble.
The new upcoming feature will return us directly to the days of Foursquare: It is now possible to check-in on Instagram notes. This is exactly what Adam Mosseri’s update notice says:
“We’re testing a feature that will allow people to post in Notes. People Notes; they use it to share their thoughts, how they feel, and the music they listen to. We want to make it easy to provide where you hang out, visit places of inspiration, and more.
I am very excited about this feature because sharing where I am in Notes is one of my favorite activities.”
Of course, you could write where you were in the Notes section before, but now you can bookmark it. Especially for businesses, this feature can be very useful. For example, gourmets can easily tag a favorite place in their Notes for their followers to see.
Or a traveler can easily tag the beautiful places he has visited so that others can see it. Of course, this can also cause problems because some fans have a tendency to follow people they admire.
