Bored Ape Yacht Club is a frequent topic of discussion and conversation about the NFT token. That hasn’t changed this week either, with the launch of the project’s first token, ApeCoin. In addition, one of the sensational names of YouTube, Dr. Disrespect makes statements about NFT tokens and game play.

What you need to know this week in the NFT token world

As Kriptokoin.com, we are here once again with the week’s leading NFT token news, here are all the important news of the week in the NFT field. We summarize our activities. The first of this week’s non-tradable token news is about Ape Coin. By far the most talked about topic in the NFT space this week is ApeCoin. The new, first token for Bored Ape Yacht Club is definitely among the most notable airdrops in NFT history so far. Within days, the token has soared to be in the top 100 by market cap. ApeCoin (other than BAYC holders) in the NFT community has been met with somewhat mixed reviews. We will see how things take shape for APE token holders as things mature.

Coinbase wallet adds support for Solana NFTs

Coinbase Wallet is now rolling out support for Solana NFTs this week. Coinbase says more is coming regarding Solana integration, and more dApp integrations are expected to follow.

Spotify, on the other hand, is getting into the rumor mill. Spotify went into the NFT rumor mill this week as the music streaming service firm posted new job listings citing potential NFT-friendly behavior. According to reports, Spotify is preparing to release NFT support, which could boost artist earnings. This was an important point of criticism for Spotify’s business model. NFTs in music were widely talked about with many projects and platforms taking direct action in the market, but none of them reached the masses like other NFTs. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek had this to say about crypto in general: “This could open huge open doors where a customer in Japan could suddenly pay a producer in Argentina. Moreover, it opens enormous open doors on how we can further our main goal.”

Zuckerberg: NFT token projects “In the Near Future” on Instagram

There was plenty of NFT activity at SXSW in Austin, Texas this week. NFT project ‘Doodles’ has made a splash and has arguably dominated NFT headlines; but on the more corporate end of the spectrum, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, when asked about the future of NFTs on Meta-owned platform Instagram, stated:

We are working to bring NFTs to Instagram in the near term… I’m not ready to explain exactly what’s going to happen today. But in the next few months, the ability to bring in some of your NFTs may hopefully build something into that environment over time.

Meta, formerly Facebook, has made numerous attempts to create crypto-friendly products, with limited success so far. The company’s history with blockchain technology leaves a lot of doubts about whether Instagram will implement them going forward.

YouTuber Disrespect launches NFT game based on Polygon

Dr. Disrespect is known for his unique personality, his quiet but controversial departure from Twitch. He is known for his NFT games. It is now launching 10,000 NFTs affiliated with the game development company Midnight Society. According to our report this week, NFT owners will get early access to game builds, uniquely created “VisorCortex” helmet design, access to studio events and voting rights on game features. NFTs will be built on the Polygon blockchain. The gaming and esports industry has been largely reluctant to adopt NFTs, although it may seem like a natural fit for some. Adoption looks like it will definitely be a tough nut to crack.
