Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao, with Fortune earlier in the month In an interview published earlier this week, he hinted about NFTs that some people may have missed the train. Zhao added that he still recognizes the true potential of NFTs and offers artists the opportunity to “reach a much wider audience.”
Former OpenSea employee Nate Chastain has parted ways with the popular NFT marketplace. He is now returning to the NFT market by building a platform called Oval. Oval is reportedly seeking $3 million in startup funding.
OpenSea opened the door to traditional payment methods with Moonpay to announce its intentions to support credit card and ApplePay payments. This week, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Doodles and many other leading NFT projects were hacked with poor execution. According to the BAYC Discord channel only one fell victim to a Mutant Monkey, but as recent news has shown, phishing sites are increasingly causing problems with NFTs.
Visa has launched a program focused on helping content creators build their businesses through NFTs. Visa will select entrepreneurs in fashion, music, film, art and more to help incorporate NFTs into their business models.
In the latest development in the NFT token market, the world’s first NFT restaurant called Flyish Club was opened. According to the announcement, there is a special membership system that can only be paid with crypto money. Flyish Club members will be able to attend special events and have the right to book a restaurant to open in New York in 2023.
