More than 455 million WordPress using websites can now accept Dogecoin through the “Easy Dogecoin Gateway”.
According to DogeDesigner, UX/UI specialist and graphic designer at the Dogecoin Foundation, millions of websites using WordPress can now accept Dogecoin using the “Easy Dogecoin Gateway”.
Dogecoin Developer Releases Payment Plugin for WordPress
Websites can now accept Dogecoin with the WooCommerce plugin created by the Dogecoin developer known as “Inevitable360”.
The plugin is only for WordPress websites without the need for any third party payment processor, bank or additional fees. It will allow it to accept DOGE payments using Dogecoin addresses. It will also use the Google API to generate QR codes and the CoinGecko API to convert fiat money to the current price of Dogecoin.
Dogecoin Continues Adoption
DOGE was used to buy a controlling stake in BIG3 league basketball team Aliens. Bill Lee, founder of Dogecoin wallet MyDoge, bought only DOGE NFTs for Aliens and offered a controlling stake in the BIG3 team in return. Under the deal, the MyDoge/Dogecoin brand will appear on Aliens team jerseys as well as at Big3 events.
Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, recently stated that if more businesses accept Dogecoin, there will be more benefits. The billionaire also said that it would be nice to tip with Dogecoin.
