NFTs.com was sold to an undisclosed buyer for $15 million at the same time that ENS domains were growing in popularity.
This made it one of the most expensive domain name sales of all time. The sale was accompanied by GoDaddy.com, URL domain brokers Domainer and Escrow.com, according to a press release. The sale is the second largest in 2019 after a crypto firm bought Voice.com for $30 million. Saying that there is no official statement about what NFTs.com will host, Domainer detailed that the buyer can also collaborate with other Web3 projects such as DigitalArtist.com, which provides web3 services to artists.

Although Web2 domains don’t sell at dizzying prices, Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domains can fetch thousands of dollars. For example, Sony.eth domain name was recently sold for $72,000. As another example, the domain name 000.eth was sold for 300 ETH ($315,000 at the time of purchase). This made it the second largest sale in both Ethereum (ETH) and dollar terms. The highest price sale of an ENS domain name was 420 ETH (worth $1.5 million at the time of sale) in October 2021. This sale took place for paradigm.eth. Despite its name, cryptocurrency firm Paradigm stated that the acquisition was not done by them. Although it is a very expensive sale, there are also opinions that it was made as a joke.
