Horizon Worlds, the growing metaverse universe that Meta has introduced to users in the past months, continues to increase the number of users day by day. The platform, which has recently been announced to increase the number of users 10 times in 3 months, seems to increase this number much more with new developments.
With the sharing on Twitter by the CTO of the company, a statement came that a web version of Horizon Worlds could come in the coming days and that they would take the developers much further financially. And without the need to use VR anymore!
Horizon Worlds mobile and web versions are on the way
CTO Andrew “Boz” Bosworth, with his tweet, announced that they aim to get rid of the financial cuts experienced by their developers in the coming days. Currently, a 30 percent deduction is applied to developers for purchases made through the Quest Store in Horizon Worlds. Bosworth explained that this rate will be 25 percent in the web version, and this is quite low compared to similar platforms. However, with this new application that Horizon Worlds will bring in the coming days, it is almost certain that the number of users will reach much larger numbers.
According to The Verge’s report, it was claimed that work has begun on the mobile version of Horizon Worlds. According to The Verge, Meta may launch both mobile and web versions later this year. Of course, in this case, we can say goodbye to VR headsets completely. Considering that we can do almost everything we can and cannot do in real life in Horizon Worlds, it is also a great curiosity how this will look as a phone application.
