The Wear OS 3 platform, developed jointly by Google and Samsung, debuted in August last year with the Galaxy Watch 4 series. Before the Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung smart watches using the Tizen operating system were working with Android and iOS devices, but Samsung canceled iOS support with the Galaxy Watch 4. After Samsung did not make a detailed statement on the subject, many people thought that Wear OS 3.0 would not support the iOS platform. However, it seems that the discontinuation of iOS support was Samsung’s own decision.
Wear OS 3 devices will be able to work with iPhones
Although Wear OS 3.0 was introduced last year, it has only been used on the Galaxy Watch 4 series until now. However, last week, Montblanc introduced its first smartwatch powered by Wear OS 3. Montblanc Summit 3, which will debut on July 15 with a price of $ 1290, will also work with iOS devices.
Speaking to Wareable, Qualcomm stated that Montblanc Summit 3 will come with iPhone support. The use of Snapdragon processors in many smart watches makes Qualcomm’s comment on this issue reliable. Wear OS 3 will soon get stronger with brands like Pixel and Fossil.
