In addition to armored land vehicles, ARMA 8×8 Driver Gunner Training Simulator was exhibited at the Otokar stand at IDEF’23, the world’s fourth largest defense industry fair. Otokar Finance and Risk Management Manager Hakan Karayel explained the features of the simulator to Cem Sünbül.
Candidates are given training in the cockpit, which is designed exactly the same as the cockpit of the ARMA 8×8 Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle and has the same menu. Candidates have the chance to digitally test all functions of ARMA 8×8 in different scenarios, different terrain conditions and different climates. Theoretical knowledge is translated into practice in the virtual environment.
The simulator automatically detects and records what the driver is doing right and wrong. With the prepared report, all the results about the student’s driving are reached in detail.
Thanks to the ARMA 8×8 Driver Gunner Training Simulator, training time is shortened, training costs are reduced and the skills of driver candidates are improved.
