Car of the Year Award nominees for 2024 have been announced. Seven finalists were selected from 28 models by 59 juries from 22 countries. Interestingly, there are also Chinese brands such as BYD among the finalists. Here are the cars nominated for Car of the Year.
Car of the Year finalists have been announced
The list of the best cars for 2024 shows that electric vehicles continue to rise. Accordingly, five of the seven finalists consist of fully electric vehicles. BYD, which entered the list for the first time, demonstrates the international recognition of Chinese vehicles with its Seal model.
BMW’s new 5 Series, including the fully electric i5 version, is also among the finalists. On the other hand, the Volvo EX30 model follows in the footsteps of the award-winning XC40; Kia EV9 aims to continue the success of the previous EV6.
C-HR was chosen from Toyota instead of Prius this year. The Renault model shown as the finalist was the electric Scenic. Winning awards almost every year, Peugeot returns this year with the 3008 SUV. All the candidates for the 2024 Car of the Year are as follows:

- Renault Scenic
- Toyota C-HR
- Volvo EX30
Models consisting of different segments and powertrain options will be evaluated within the scope of the voting to be held on February 26. However, the chosen vehicle seems to be a car that pioneers the electric age.
