There is no area that human beings do not enter so that it does not take environmental pollution with it. Human beings continue to pollute the place where they live for just or unjust reasons. The pollution that first started in Earth orbit has now spread to Mars.

We never lived but we polluted

Mankind has been doing research on Mars for about 50 years. Even colonization efforts began. Unfortunately, human beings leave something on the surface every Mars expedition. Its size has reached frightening proportions.

To date, 18 man-made objects have been sent to the Martian surface in 14 different missions. Many different devices are among them, including Perseverance, Spirit, and Opportunity. Of course, not all of these are taken back. Particularly during the descent to the surface, the side modules thrown from the main module for various purposes break apart afterward and there are many pieces that disperse under the influence of the winds.

According to research, there is a garbage heap of about 7 tons on the surface of Mars. These include inoperative vehicles, shattered hardware, and crashed spacecraft. In addition, 9 landing gears are left.

There is no possibility of cleaning by organizing activities on the surface of Mars, like the Earth, and this garbage will increase with each new expedition. In short, the first colonies of the Martian surface need a solid cleaning.
