A report has emerged suggesting that God of War: Ragnarök could meet its planned release range in 2022 and is targeted for a November release date. The news, by Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, is based on three sources associated with the game’s development and says the game is on its way to release in November. Two of these sources also state that the announcement of the release date will be made in June.
According to Schreier, Santa Monica Studio’s initial goal was to reach a release window in September, before it was delayed to November. Considering that the general release date of the game is only 2022, we can say that this delay is an internal delay that does not require a general announcement, as in the transition of the game from 2021 to 2022.
Although, as Schreier himself states, November is aimed “as of this week”, nothing is certain when it comes to game development and in-house dates. Therefore, even though God of War: Raganarök is currently targeting November release internally, we cannot say that this date is certain.
In short, God of War: Ragnarök is still scheduled to be released in 2022. When the game is released, it will be playable on PS4 and PS5, which will be exclusive to PlayStation.
