Carbon dioxide is known to be one of the most important greenhouse gases associated with climate change, as it remains in the Earth’s atmosphere for centuries. The Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diago reported that the monthly mean baseline carbon dioxide (CO2) level for April 2022 at the Muana Loa Observatory in Hawaii was 420.02 ppm. This figure is noted as the highest level ever recorded in human history.
