Horizon Forbidden West has been released recently and game lovers are continuing the adventure of Aloy, which they missed, from where they left off. We will share the Horizon Forbidden West review with you in a short while, and we were actually going to talk about it in the review, but the interview given by Mathijs de Jonge, the director of Horizon Forbidden West, accelerated the process.
Horizon Forbidden West is indeed a successful production for PlayStation 5. While it has been a successful game with its visual quality and action dosage, the game is technically in harmony with PlayStation 5. So much so that Horizon Forbidden West’s PlayStation 5 load times are so fast that developer team Guerilla Games had to slow it down.
Mathijs de Jonge said in his interview that the PS5’s internal SSD allows load times to increase dramatically, with players starting the game or traveling around the map within seconds. However, despite this, the speeds have increased so much that it has been noticed that even the clues on the waiting screens cannot be seen. De Jonge said, “The loading time with PS5 takes 4-5 seconds and it happens so fast that players can’t even read the tips,” while the team made a decision and said, “We fixed the loading screen so that players can read the tips during loading.” exists.
So much so that in Horizon Forbidden West, the loading screen really finishes at lightning speed and as De Jonge said, the screen stays still. An X key appears on the side and after reading the hint on the screen, you can press X to continue the game. Even if you don’t want to read it, of course, you can still click and pass.
We knew that when the PlayStation 5 was first introduced, load times would be shortened, but we didn’t know that game developers would try to extend it in this way. The device is really fast and it has started to be paid for in new generation games specially prepared for it, and Horizon Forbidden West is one of them.
