Researcher Unknownz21, whose username we only know and who is famous for Apple leaks, is here again with an Apple leak. A new feature of the new main series iPhone 15 family, which the iPhone will introduce towards the end of this year, may have leaked.
In this work of chart shared by Unknownz21, there are details of the antenna architecture of the iPhone 15. With this leak, the first new feature of the iPhone 15 family may have appeared.
iPhone 15 family may have Wi-Fi 6E technology
The D8x refers to the iPhone 15 Pro models, and information indicates that the faster Wi-Fi 6E technology will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The standard iPhone 15 models labeled as D3y will continue to use Wi-Fi 6 instead of Wi-Fi 6E.
D7x stands for iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, D2y stands for iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, and the document cites antenna design changes between iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro. According to this document, Wi-Fi 6E will be a feature exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro only.
As of now, Wi-Fi 6E technology is already included in Apple’s iPad Pro, Mac mini and MacBook Pro models, but is limited to these. It will be the first time Apple has used this technology on an iPhone model, if it ever happens.
