A clean water well was built for 1000 Nigerian villagers with Bitcoin donations.
Humanitarian organizations continue to leverage cryptocurrencies to provide fair opportunities to communities around the world. The clean water well drilled in Nigeria was the last of these moves.
Yusuf Necessary, director of the Built With Bitcoin Foundation, announced that the organization’s project, which provides clean water to more than 1,000 Nigerian villagers, has been completed.
The clean water well project was financed with the help of $6,000 BTC.
Residents of the Nigerian village of Kogi also had the opportunity to experience how Bitcoin works. Along with this, the foundation also provided Bitcoin training to the residents.
Aid Continues With Bitcoin Donations
Donations for the project were launched during the 2022 Bitcoin Conference. The foundation continues its activities especially to help communities that have problems with access to clean water, quality education and food. Yusuf Neccesary said the following on the subject:
