Warning to crypto investors about the Follina vulnerability on Windows

As in every sector, security is one of the issues that most concern investors in the crypto money sector. In the news that emerged in the past days, a security vulnerability called Follina was detected in Microsoft Office. It is stated that the virus, which spreads through Microsoft Office’s MSDT service, can affect crypto investors using Windows.

Wallet Guard, which provides anti-phishing service, said in a statement on its official Twitter account that the vulnerability in Microsoft Office leaked to the computer even without opening the Word file. He warned cryptocurrency investors about wallet security.

Follina vulnerability cannot be detected by antivirus software. In addition, attackers exploiting this vulnerability use phishing or social engineering to allow users to open an attached file and access the victim’s entire system from that point.
