- Fake Fact: An outside company is asking for money by offering to extend the factory warranty in a way that only the vehicle manufacturer can do.
- Scammers: Scammers may ask for money by implying that they work for a company you know and trust.
- Personal Information: Requests for your Social Security number, driver’s license number, or credit card information are sure signs of fraud.
- Method of Payment: If you are asked to pay with a gift card or cryptocurrency, it is a scam.
