Key partnership for future goals

Volkswagen Group and British Petroleum(BP) will work together to launch up to 4,000 charging points in Germany and the UK within 24 months. The partnership also includes making a total of 8,000 charging points accessible across Europe by the end of 2024.

Volkswagen’s Flexpole 150 kW chargers can be directly connected to a low-voltage grid, eliminating the need for a dedicated substation and costly construction work, reducing installation times and costs. It can also offer a range of up to 160 km on a 10-minute charge, depending on the model of the EV.

The locations of the fast charging points that will be integrated into BP stations will be accessible from in-car dashboards in both VW group cars (including Seat and Skoda) and VWs.
