Voyager’s lawyers are not happy with FTX’s offer to sell its holdings and pay its users. With the declines in the crypto money market, Voyager, which is approaching the bankruptcy flag, has been on the agenda lately. Recently, FTX made a support offer to the company. Voyager’s lawyers consider this support package to be in FTX’s favor.
Voyager’s lawyers say that FTX’s offer to buy exchange wallets and provide immediate financial support to customers is highly harmful and misleading.
Voyager’s Lawyers Don’t Like FTX’s Offer
Voyager seeks salvation from its supporters after its collapse. But FTX’s offer doesn’t bode well for Voyager’s lawyers. FTX CEO Sam-Bankman Fried said that Voyager’s lawyers found the statements ridiculous. FTX CEO also underlined that prolonging the case will bore customers.
Voyager filed to file for bankruptcy on July 6 after crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital failed to pay off a $665 million loan, dragging the stock market into a bankruptcy crisis.
According to details in the shared court filing, Voyager’s lawyers said the plan “transfers significant value to AlamedaFTX and completely removes the value of assets that do not concern AlamedaFTX.”
Voyager’s lawyers and FTX founder Sam-Bankman Fried got into a public debate about the bankruptcy. It is not yet known what the result will be in the future.
