Volkswagen will introduce the concept version of ID.1, the entry -level electric car in March. The German manufacturer shared the first drawings about the design of the model and revealed the general outlines of the car. Volkswagen ID.1 will be cheaper than 20 thousand euros!

Volkswagen has not yet officially confirmed ID.1’s name, but the brand applied for a patent for the name “ID.Every1” in Europe. Although this name is used for the promotion of the concept model, it seems likely to choose the name ID.1 in the mass production version.

The German manufacturer ID.1 initially planned to develop with Renault. However, when the two companies have separated their paths, Renault turned to the new electric Twingo project, which will be released in 2026. Renault CEO Luca de Meo evaluated this separation as a “abducted opportunity”, while Volkswagen continued to develop the project.

ID.1 will use Volkswagen’s MEB Small platform. Unlike the normal MoNE platform, this structure, which is developed with front -wheel drive, will also be connected to the ID.2. Although there was no exact information about the battery capacity, the ID.2all model was presented about 450 kilometers of range. In terms of the charging time, the battery can fill from 10 %to 80 %in about 20 minutes.

Volkswagen also exhibited the ID.1 at a meeting with factory employees in Wolfsburg. CEO Thomas Schäfer stressed that the new model will be an affordable and high -quality option for Europe.

In shared drawings about the design of the car, unlike the round lines in the ID series, a more angular structure attracts attention. The headlights with 3 -dimensional graphics on the front are included in a black frame with the Volkswagen logo.

The buffer design includes vertical lighting and large air intakes. Large fenders and large wheels in the side profile support the dynamic appearance of the vehicle. In the rear section, a ceiling line extending with flat lines and a body -colored baggage spoiler stand out.
