The electric Microbus, which Volkswagen calls ID Buzz, has appeared on the streets for a while while performing its artificial intelligence driverless experiments. Today, Volkswagen CEO Hebert Diess announced on Twitter that the legendary vehicle will be introduced on March 9, 2022.
Diess shared a GIF of the electric T2 model in his post. Earlier in 2015, the first concept drawings of the electric minivan model appeared. Although Volkswagen was silent at that time, the first prototype appeared in 2017. The ID Buzz lines shown today also confirm a design close to this model.

The technical specifications of the Volkswagen ID Buzz model have not been revealed. However, there are different standards for electric cars in the USA and Europe. In this sense, the electric T2 model will first enter the European market. The model, which complies with the US standards, is expected to extend to 2023.

Judging by the sharing of Herbert Dies, Volkswagen ID Buzz will have a similar design to the images released in September 2021. In this sense, the ID Buzz model adapts the round lines of the traditional Mikrobus model to the present day. Combining these rounded lines with sharp modern lines, the brand is preparing to come up with a much more muscular design than the old models. In this sense, the range of the electric Microbus model is also expected to be quite long.
